I'm Maddy and I love using words to convey ideas.
Isn't it astounding that from just 26 letters and an assortment of special characters, we humans have constructed a library of language that is so boundless it can be drawn upon to express virtually any concept, emotion, direction, sentiment or argument ever conceived of?
The limitless potential offered by language and the opportunity for originality that it presents is astonishing. Depending on tone, style and context, words can be arranged to produce pivotal research papers, write generation-defining novels or construct society-shifting speeches. Words have the ability to alter people's decisions, lifestyles, beliefs and opinions. Words are a tool. Words are a form of creativity. Words inspire change. Words are incredibly powerful.
All of the above is why I am drawn to creative communications. I want to help brands get the most out of their messaging, combining the potency of the written word and the salience of visuals to strike the desired chord with the right audience. Whether it's devising innovative ideas as an in-house copywriter or bringing a creative flair to a range of client briefs at an agency, my ambition is to use copy to drive positive action.
When I'm not copywriting, I enjoy selling pre-loved fashion, cultivating houseplants, going to art exhibitions, cooking and learning about psychology.
